Out of Context

 The Past and Present
Back to Full Blog

Many of us have issues with our past. We try and come to terms with it and yet fail to understand how.

Have you ever noticed that the mind can understand the present only if it does not compare, and judge? The desire to alter or condemn the present without understanding it gives continuance to the past. Only in comprehending the reflection of the past in the mirror of the present, without distortion, is there renewal.

If we have lived an experience fully, completely, we find  that it leaves no traces behind. It is only the incomplete experiences that leave their mark, giving continuity to self-identified memory. We consider the present as a means to an end, so the present loses its immense significance. The present is the eternal, and that is what we must realise.

As each experience arises i guess we need to live it out as fully and deeply as possible; think it out, feel it out extensively and profoundly; be aware of its pain and pleasure, of our judgments and identifications. Only when experience is completed is there a renewal. We must be capable of living the four seasons in a day; to be keenly aware, to experience, to understand and be free of the gatherings of each day.

And if only it were so easy............

You could be on to something there, soulsearcher!

I generally try to liberally pepper my life with equal amounts and , with lots and lots of thrown in for added flavor. I have found that this recipe certainly helps the , , and taste better!

I believe people who use this recipe tend to naturally migrate toward one another. Perhaps it is because we stand out in a crowd?

Isn't it amazing how emoticons can be used as a language in and of themselves? I used to find them rather chessy, but have grown very fond of them.

And yes, I am very to report that my -ness is indeed boundless! It certainly makes life more interesting!

(Drives Mrs. w at times too, though. Then she's all and I have to be serious for awhile before I unload some more . She loves me for it, though!)

I know what you mean...only my better/bitter half gets and not with all my but i suspect he loves it too! Just doesnt have the right emoticons to express it i guess! LOL......

Perhaps we should invent some way for people to be able to carry emoticons around with them that they could use in every day life. Wouldn't it be to be able to flash a at the guy who cuts you off on the freeway? Or a big to the boy scout that helps the old lady across the street (do they even still do that)?

I think my -ness is a big part of the reason Mrs. w is so about me, to be honest. There was alot of and before I came along. Of course, there still is, but I just always try to meet it head on with a big ol' !

Okay, this is getting to be too much fun!

peace, wayf

Or when your dial up starts acting crazy, you could pull out the old , , and !

I think it would be , though! You could very easily express yourself in plain, easy to understand language and no one would be going when you made a good point.

I love the idea, and will begin work immediately on the development of our new system of communication outside of blogworld.

peace, wayf

Yes and would save a lot of misunderstanding and misinterpretaion of what is said and written...and by the way is it possible to load more emoticons here? from other sources?

I'm not sure if you can do that or not. I'm sure John would be able to tell you if you PM'd him, or posted the question on Blogstream News. That would be too cool, wouldn't it?

I am growing way to fond of emoticonization . It is an art in and of itself, don't you think?
